Rivertowne Open: Mar 4th - 6th

Rivertowne Country Club is a phenomenal golf course situated alongside the Wando River in Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina. Last year's event kicked off the 2007 Low Country Series and was won by Jody Bellflower at 3-under-par. Bellflower's 213 total was the highest winning score of the 2007 season. Widely considered the toughest golf course on the Tarheel Tour Schedule, Rivertowne measures 7272 yards, and is also host’s the LPGA's Ginn Tribute hosted by Annika in May. All of our payments have a 2% service fee.

TPGG Classic at Oldfield CC: Guarenteed purse $250,000 Mar 26th - 28th

The 2008 Tarheel Tour TPGG Classic will be held at Oldfield Country Club in Okatie, South Carolina. Oldfield is a beautiful Greg Norman signature course with rolling fairways, runoff areas surrounding the putting surfaces, and fast greens. Barry Hume won the Tarheel Tour's inaugural visit to Oldfield in the 2006 Match Play Championship. Last year, current PGA Tour member Tommy Gainey defeated current Nationwide Tour member Jonathan Fricke by two strokes. This is a walking only event. All of our payments have a 2% service fee.

The Manor Classic: Apr 9th - 11th

The Manor Classic is the first of three events in the state of Virginia on the 2008 Tarheel Tour Schedule. It is also the first of five venues that the Tarheel Tour will visit for the first time in 2008. The Golf Channel will conduct tryouts for the next Big Break Series during the Tuesday Practice round for this event. Located in Farmville, Virginia, The Manor Golf Club measures 7214 yards and is covered with lush bent grass from tee to green. It also received national recognition by Golf Digest with its selection to “America’s Best New Courses of 2007.” All of our payments have a 2% service fee.

Sapona Open: Apr 23rd - 25th

The Tarheel Tour will make its first stop in North Carolina at Sapona Country Club in Lexington. Sapona CC, designed by Ellis Maples, is a true shot maker's course, and is the shortest course on the 2008 Schedule at 6398 yards. Previous Tarheel Tour winners at Sapona include the Big Break VIII's Kevin Taylor in 2006, and Nationwide Tour player Justin Hicks in 2007. This is a walking only event. All of our payments have a 2% service fee.

Cabarrus Classic: Apr 30th - May 2nd

Cabarrus Country Club in Concord, North Carolina provides one of the fairest tests of golf anywhere in the Carolinas. Cabarrus is known for its deep rough and quick undulating greens. The Tarheel's Tour's best always seem to shine at Cabarrus as proven by past winners Dustin Bray, William McGirt, and Stephen Woodard. Cabarrus Country Club is also the site of the Tarheel Tour's Southern Open in July. This is a walking only event. All of our payments have a 2% service fee.

NorthStone Open: May 7th - 9th

Northstone Country Club, located in Huntersville, North Carolina, is a regular stop on the Tarheel Tour Schedule. This P.B. Dye layout combines great natural topography with an excellent collection of risk/reward holes that has made Northstone one of the most popular stops on the Tarheel Tour. Last year, 2007 money leader Matt Cannon won his second event of the season at Northstone with a record tying 20-under-par 196 total. This year, the Northstone Open moves from late August to early May. All of our payments have a 2% service fee.

Walnut Creek Classic: May 21st - 23rd

Walnut Creek Country Club provides the best hospitality on tour and was a pleasant addition to the 2007 Schedule. Located in Goldsboro, North Carolina, Walnut Creek is a beautiful course with bent grass greens that are generally considered among the best on the Tarheel Tour. In addition to the tour's regular stop in May, won by Jay McLuen, Walnut Creek also hosted the 2007 Tarheel Tour Championship in October, which was won by Richard Scott. All of our payments have a 2% service fee.

Bermuda Run Open: May 28th - 30th

The Bermuda Run Open in Bermuda Run, North Carolina is the only event on the Tarheel Tour Schedule that is contested over two separate golf courses. The West Course at Bermuda Run, which will host the first round, measures only 6625 yards, but its narrow fairways and thick rough put a premium on driving the ball in play. The Main Course at Bermuda Run, designed by Ellis Maples, has wider fairways, but measures 7080 yards and will host the second and final rounds of the event. Scott Brown claimed the first of his two tour victories last year, defeating Andy Bare by one stroke. Bermuda Run is a former host of the NCAA Division I National Championship. All of our payments have a 2% service fee.

Cedar Rock Open: June 11th - 13th

Located in Lenoir, North Carolina, on the edge of the Appalachian Mountains, Cedar Rock Country Club is the most difficult test of golf in the area. The front nine is difficult with undulating greens and many elevation changes that are typical of classic mountain golf. The back nine rolls through flatter terrain and provides a bit more of an opportunity for scoring. Each hole provides its own unique challenge and together they provide a superb test for the top player. Cedar Rock CC is new to the Tarheel Tour Schedule in 2008. All of our payments have a 2% service fee.

Spring Creek Classic: June 18th - 20th

The Tarheel Tour returns to Spring Creek for the second consecutive year in 2008. Spring Creek, located in Gordonsville, Virginia, recently received the Golf Digest honor for “Best New Course Under $75.” The Spring Creek Classic is the northern most event on the Tarheel Tour, and in 2007 it became the first Tarheel Tour event ever staged in Virginia. Spring Creek is a beautiful and immaculately conditioned golf course with bent grass fairways and greens, as well as thick fescue rough that penalizes any wayward shot. All of our payments have a 2% service fee.

Pete Dye Classic: June 24th - 26th

The Pete Dye Classic at The Pete Dye River Course at Virginia Tech is the last of three events in Virginia on the 2008 Schedule. The River Course located in Radford, Virginia, measures 7665 yards, making it the longest course in Tarheel Tour history. Designed by Pete Dye, The River Course at Virginia Tech plays alongside the New River and has many long, demanding par-four holes. In 2006, The River Course received Golf Digest's award for “Best Redesign.” This is a walking only event. All of our payments have a 2% service fee.

Southern Open: Jul 10th - 12th

The Southern Open, hosted by Cabarrus Country Club, has the largest field of any event on the Tarheel Tour. In 2007, 174 players competed as Australian Shaun Norris claimed the largest winner's check of the season at $20,000. A field of 168 to 180 players is expected for the 2008 Southern Open, once again making it the largest event of the Tarheel Tour season. All of our payments have a 2% service fee.

River Hills Open: Jul 16th - 18th

River Hills Country Club in Lake Wylie, South Carolina sits just across the North Carolina-South Carolina border, a mere twenty minutes from downtown Charlotte. River Hills is a medium length course with narrow fairways and trouble seemingly lurking everywhere. Mistake-free play is required from tee to green to master this layout. The Tarheel Tour is making its maiden voyage to Lake Wylie for the 2008 River Hills Open. All of our payments have a 2% service fee.

Lake Hickory Open: Jul 23rd - 25th

The Catawba Springs course at Lake Hickory country club is a classic Willard Byrd design nestled in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. The layout provides a great combination of holes that offer a myriad of options for the player on each tee. Catawba Springs is also known for having some of the best putting surfaces in the region. This will be the Tarheel Tour’s first trip to Hickory. All of our payments have a 2% service fee.

The Firethorne Open: Aug 20th - 22nd

The Tarheel Tour returns to Firethorne Country Club in 2008 for a 54-hole stroke play event, after hosting the season ending Match Play Championship in 2007. Scott Brown defeated Jason Martin to claim the title in the last event of the season. Firethorne, located in Marvin, North Carolina, is one of the most difficult courses in the greater Charlotte area and has proved to hold up nicely amongst the play of the area's best professionals. It also hosts the Monday Qualifier for the PGA Tour’s Wachovia Championship. All of our payments have a 2% service fee.

River Run Classic: Aug 26th - 28th

After extensive renovations in the summer and fall of 2007, Tarheel Tour players will return to an improved and tougher River Run Country Club at the end of August. Already considered one of the tougher courses on the schedule, River Run has bolstered its layout with new greens and an additional 200 yards of length. River Run, located in Huntersville, North Carolina also has four of the toughest finishing holes on tour. All of our payments have a 2% service fee.

Charlotte National Open: Sep 24th - 26th

Charlotte National Golf Club is a Russell Breeden layout known throughout the Charlotte area for its exceptionally quick greens and for its difficult stretch of finishing holes. Some of the top players on the Tarheel Tour have won at Charlotte National including Kyle Reifers who used the momentum of his victory in 2006 to Monday qualify and subsequently win the Nationwide Tour’s Chattanooga Classic the following week. This is a walking only event. All of our payments have a 2% service fee.

Columbia Open: Sep 30th - Oct 2nd

The Columbia Open in Blythewood, South Carolina marks the tour’s final trip to the Palmetto state in 2008. Columbia Country Club's Ridgewood and Tall Pines nines combine to construct a very demanding course that is difficult in all facets. While the course is very difficult from tee to green, the putting surfaces are what competitors are most likely to remember from their visit to Columbia. The greens are considered the fastest on tour and a precise touch is required to putt them successfully. Previous champions of the Columbia Open include Lee Stroever in 2007 and David Seawell in 2006. All of our payments have a 2% service fee.

Warrior Classic: Oct 8th - 10th

The Warrior Classic at Warrior Golf Club in China Grove, North Carolina is the final regular season event on the 2008 Tarheel Tour Schedule. This is the last chance to move up the Money list to guarantee your place in the Tarheel Tour Championship the following week. Warrior Golf Club is a fair course that yields a lot of birdies to players who are at the top of their games. Matt Cannon defeated William McGirt in a playoff last season to win his first Tarheel Tour event in over two seasons. All of our payments have a 2% service fee.
