Tour Players Golf Group Agrees in Principle to Acquire Tarheel Tour

Roswell, Georgia based TOUR PLAYERS GOLF GROUP President Ronald E. Charron announced today an agreement in principle for his organization to exercise a merger/acquisition with the Tarheel Tour for the 2008 season.   He stated: “We have reached a long-term agreement in principle with Tarheel Tour Owner David Siegel to acquire his organization.  We are pleased to announce that the existing Tour management team will remain in place through the 2013 playing season and I cannot tell you how much TPGG looks forward to working with this tour in the  future.  We anticipate the final closing of the deal in the next few weeks and we will keep our membership appraised of those developments via this website as they occur. Stay Tuned."
 
Tarheel Tour President David Siegel commented "We have been developing the Tarheel Tour since 2002 and close to 2500 players have played in our events.  It has always been our goal to be the premier professional developmental golf tour in the United States and this agreement with the TOUR PLAYERS GOLF GROUP takes us that much closer to that goal.  I look forward to finalizing the deal soon and can't wait to get our 2008 season underway with our new partners".
 
TPGP Chief Executive Officer Al Couch; who spearheaded the negotiations said "Our mission has been in developing the values and character traits of our TPGG clients with honor, integrity, sportsmanship and self-discipline and we look forward to expanding that mission to the Tarheel Tour as well. We have had our eye on this operation for sometime and believe in David Siegel and his Tour and have taken the proper steps to combine our companies.  This is going to be both fun and rewarding for all of us".
