Charlotte, N.C. – After doing little to establish himself on the S&K Menswear Fall Finale Series points list through his first two starts, Jeff Curl of Ellington, CT more than made up for it in his last two with a win and a runner-up finish, the latter vaulting him past David Robinson and to the top of the list, where a $500 S&K gift card and $500 cash were waiting for him.

“I’m happy that S&K decided to get involved with the tour, especially in this format which rewards players who play well at the end of the year – which is when it really all counts in this business,” said Curl.

Robinson’s struggles at the EGOLF Tour Championship dropped him from No. 1 to No. 2 on the points list, where he was still able to take home $650. The rest of the top five was rounded out with Kevin Kisner ($400), Matt Davidson ($275) and Blake Adams ($175) each getting their share of the $2,500 worth of cash and prizes. Davidson’s win at the EGOLF Tarheel Tour Championship last week brought the former PGA Tour player from well outside the top five and into the No. 4 slot.

For EGOLF Tarheel Tour president David Siegel, the relationship with S&K Menswear seemed to match perfectly with the players on the tour.

“S&K Menswear has long set the standard for quality apparel at a reasonable price, and that is the market our players are in. This was really a win-win for both companies and a relationship we hope to maintain into the future.”

According to Mary Jo Steinmetz, advertising manager for S&K Menswear, Siegel’s tour and their company were nothing short of a logical partnership.

“S&K Menswear was proud to be a sponsor of the EGOLF Tarheel Tour and the Fall Finale Series. The tour’s commitment to quality and affordability mirrors S&K’s commitment to our patrons, which makes this relationship a natural fit.”

The S&K Fall Finale Series was slated to start at the River Run Classic in August, but heavy rains forced the cancellation of that event, thus shortening the series to four tournaments beginning with the Charlotte National Open and concluding at last week’s EGOLF Tarheel Tour Championship in Gordonsville, VA. Players accumulated points throughout the four events based on top-20 finishes each week.
