Kok Wins Medallist Honors At Stonebridge Ranch

Johan Kok finished up his dominance of Stonebridge Ranch Country Club with a final round 70 to post a four-day total of 17-under par. The long hitting South African made 19-birdies and an eagle over the 72-holes to beat Ben Hogan Award winner Matt Every by a shot. Richard Scott capitalized on the momentum of his victory at the Tarheel Tour Championship a few weeks ago as he managed to finish the event tied for 15th at six-under par.

Ben Lammi & Brendon ToddAustralian Ben Lammi bounced back from a third round 75 and carded a solid two-under par 70 to finish tied for ninth at the Auburn University Club. Lammi led a group of Tarheel Tour players who survived in Auburn including Jason Moon who snuck into second stage after a bogey on the 71st hole forced him to make a clutch par on the final hole to advance on the number which turned out to be plus three.

After three rounds in Durham, NC Brendon Todd leads with a 54-hole total of 12-under par. The 2007 Musgrove Mill Classic champion is the only player in the field to have broken par each of the first three days. Jeff Curl continued his hot play of late carding a third round 72 in cold, windy conditions and sits alone in second place at seven-under par, a distant five shots behind Todd. The top-26 players plus ties advance at Treyburn Country Club. With one round to play 20 Tarheel Tour players are currently in position to advance including 2006 leading money winner Dustin Bray and 2007 Spring Creek Classic champion, Roberto Castro.

Tarheel Tour players Brad Heaven and Christo Greyling each hold a share of the 54-hole lead at Kinderlou Forest Golf Club in Valdosta, GA. Greyling opened with rounds of 65-69 on the long, difficult layout before a third round 76 forced him to settle for a 6-under par total heading into Saturday’s final round. Bermuda Run Open champion Scott Brown came back from an opening round 74 to card back-to-back sub-par rounds and sits tied for 11th with a one-under par total. Several Tarheel Tour players are in good position to advance to second stage including Luke List, Tommy Biershenk, and South African Bruce McDonald.

After two days of torrential rain they finally got underway at Martin Downs Country Club in Palm City, FL. Keven Fortin-Simard shot an opening round 64 and leads a long list of Tarheel Tour players who managed to better par in round one.
